Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. runs on the grounds of economic management and financial autonomy, its object including activities of public national interest, in order to achieve the organized framework for the use, issue and circulation of paper money, of economy standard forms with special, normal or specific regime, of special printings.
The registered office of Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. is located in Bucharest, 56 Alexandru Ioan Cuza Blvd., 1st district.
The share capital of Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. reaches 5.617 millions lei, fully paid-up, divided into 56.170 registered shares with a nominal value of 100.000 lei, according to the accounting balance sheet drawn up on June 30, 2000, which will be updated according to the law.
Registered shares of Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. are entirely and exclusively held by the Romanian State.
Rights and obligations entailed by the Romanian State’s capacity of sole shareholder are being carried out by the Ministry of Public Finance. 199/2000 Government Emergency Ordinance, approved by 402/2001 Law is the normative deed of incorporation.
The main object of activity of Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. deals with the stamping, printing, management, circulation, expert valuation and record of economy standard forms with special, normal or specific regime.
Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. was granted the exclusive manufacturing rights of paper money such as stamps, banderols or labels used for the marking of products subject to excise duties, treasury certificates, Treasury bonds, revenue stamps, necessary forms for the management of income tax, according to its object of activity.
Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. was directly and solely granted the management of the unitary system for the series marking and numbering of special regime standardized forms, including forms on electronic support, the management of the activity dealing with the manufacture and circulation of lottery tickets, sport bets, bets of any kind and bingo scorecards for bingo games taking place within card rooms, through television networks or assimilated means of transmission, according to its object of activity.
The activity of Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. is carried out on the grounds of an own budget of incomes and expenses, approved according to the law.
The object of activity of Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A. includes in detail:
1. Main activities:
  - printing production, publishing activity, printing periodical and non periodical publications, stamping standardized forms and / or with special regime, administrative documents and printings specific to financial-accounting and treasury activity, Treasury bonds, shares, state bonds and title deeds, debentures necessary for budget deficit financing, cheques, state documents, identity documents and confidential stampings, other paper money;
  - production, enjoying exclusive rights, of paper money such as stamps or labels used for the marking of products subject to excise duties, treasury certificates, Treasury bonds, revenue stamps, certificates for the authorization of certain activities;
  - management of the unitary system for the series marking and numbering of special regime standardized forms, management of the activity dealing with the manufacture and circulation of lottery tickets, sport bets, bets of any kind and bingo scorecards for bingo games taking place within card rooms, through television networks or assimilated means of transmission;
  - production, enjoying exclusive rights, of special character printings imposing protection measures against forgery or counterfeit, elaborated by other institutions and by the central or local public administrative bodies;
  - expert valuation with respect to the authenticity of the Romanian and foreign paper money, making the object of activity of Compania Nationala “Imprimeria Nationala” - S.A.;
  - circulation of products that are specific to the national company’s object of activity, by assigning sale rights to other economic agents or by means of its own network;
  - performing transport operations and other specific services to its object of activity;
  - performing tests, studies, prognosis and regulations in its specific field of activity;
  - organization of professional training and specialization activity in its specific field of activity;
  - providing, according to in force legal provisions, technical, scientific and technological cooperation and collaboration within a representation system and/or by association with other companies in the country or abroad with respect to printing specific products;
  - production of other printing products or activities, according to legal provisions.
2. B. Activities connected to those provided for by letter A, as well as other activities:
  - domestic and foreign trade operations, relevant to its object of activity;
  - computer services, basic and application software activity for computers and computer networks;
  - accomplishment of investments for development, modernization, automation and re-technologizing;
  - carrying out marketing studies and inquiries with respect with its object of activity;
  - advertising and publicity services, organization of fairs, symposiums and experience exchanges;
  - financial, consultancy, leasing, management activities as well as personal or in association representation activities;
  - management/development of computer programs;
  - management of electronic forms for stating and paying taxes, fees and other debts owed to the state budget;
